Unit 2:Day 4

Today, students will learn about Vertical angles and multiplication of radicals.

Vertical Angles are the angles opposite each other when two lines cross.

In this example, a° and b° are vertical angles, and they are equal.


Multiplying radicals

When multiplying radicals, you must multiply the numbers OUTSIDE (O) the radicalsAND then multiply the numbers INSIDE (I) the radicals.
  
then simplify


1.  Multiply the outside numbers first3 • 1 = 3 

2.  Multiply the inside numbers
3.  Put steps 1 and 2 together and
     simplify.
